Amazon rainforest wildfires
Sunset highlights curtain of smoke from a fire in an area of the Amazon jungle in the region of Alvorada da Amazonia, in Novo Progresso, state of Para, on the afternoon of this Thursday, on 13th August. The veto comes amid pressure from domestic and international investors due to the country’s negative image abroad caused by environmental management and increased deforestation.
