As partidas de futebol voltaram no Rio de Janeiro, o único estado do país a permitir a retomada do esporte, apesar do alto número de infecções e mortes pela doença ainda serem registradas diariamente no Estado e no País. O Brasil registrou, nas últimas 24 horas, mais de 47 mil novos casos do Covid-19, atingindo um total de 1,5 milhão de pessoas diagnosticadas desde o início da pandemia, segundo pesquisa feita a partir dos números divulgados pelas secretarias estaduais de saúde. Nas últimas 24 horas, houve mais de 1.200 novas mortes, registrando mais de 61 mil mortes desde o início da pandemia.
